Fire breaks out at apartment complex north of Las Vegas airport

Fire broke out at an apartment this morning in the central valley, but nobody was injured, according to to the Clark County Fire Department.

The fire was reported about 7 a.m. at an apartment complex in the 1300 block of East Hacienda Avenue, just north of the Las Vegas airport, officials said. Smoke and flames were coming from a second-story unit, officials said.

Firefighters went into the apartment and had the fire out within about 10 minutes, officials said. Nobody was found inside, officials said.

The cause of the blaze was under investigation, officials said. No damage estimate was provided.
