Man charged with fatally shooting girlfriend in Laughlin

A man has been arrested by Metro Police in the death of a woman in Laughlin, according to a news release.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at an apartment complex in the 1700 block of Cal Edison Drive in Laughlin at about 10:30 a.m. Monday.
Officers found a woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, and she died at the scene, the release stated.
The woman’s boyfriend, 43-year-old Paul Herrera, was identified as the suspect, and police said he shot her during an argument.
Herrera was arrested and booked into Clark County Detention Center on a charge of open murder.
