Prince tribute show “Purple Reign” moves to V Theater this month.

Blake Shelton’s Ole Red Las Vegas at Horseshoe Las Vegas on the Strip is getting ready to celebrate its grand opening and the country singer will be performing at the new honky-tonk on April 16 and 17 as part of the festivities. Fans can win their way into one of his shows by entering the grand opening sweepstakes now through March 31 online here; or they can follow Ole Red on Facebook, Instagram, X and TikTok for chances to win; or they can visit the venue itself for multiple in-venue chances to win tickets. Next month’s grand opening party will also include special giveaways and prizes, performances other acts including local and regional artists, and appearances from former NBC “The Voice” contestants. Fresh off another memorable stint as musical guest on “Saturday Night Live,” Kacey Musgraves is heading out on her new Deeper Well World Tour and that includes a stop at T-Mobile Arena on September 28. Father John Misty and Nickel Creek will support for the Vegas show and tickets go on sale Friday, March 8 at axs.com.

Here are more Vegas entertainment event announcements from the past week: country music hall of famer Marty Stuart will play the Westgate International Theater on July 13; Chris Brown, a regular performer at Drai’s at the Cromwell, brings his 11:11 Tour to T-Mobile Arena on August 3; metal teammates I Prevail and Halestorm bring their summer tour to Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood on August 17; electronic music favorites Moenia will play the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay on September 8; pop singer and songwriter Conan Gray will perform at the Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan on October 11; Canadian singer and songwriter Gino Vannelli performs at the Westgate International Theater on October 12; and comedian Jeff Foxworthy will take the stage at the Pearl Concert Theater at the Palms on December 13 and 14.

Long-running Michael Jackson tribute show “MJ Live” will take up a new limited engagement residency at the Sahara Theatre on March 18 and continuing through July 28. Nightly showtimes are set at 7:30 p.m. and tickets, starting at $66, are available at the Sahara box office or at ticketmaster.com.

Another familiar tribute production is moving to its new home this month, an understandable transition considering the fate of its previous digs. “Purple Reign,” acclaimed as the world’s best Prince tribute show, will begin performances at the V Theater at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood on March 19. The show, starring Jason Tenner and co-produced by Red Mercury Entertainment, has been at the Tropicana for several years, the legendary Strip property that will close in early April to make way for a new sports stadium.
