A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle tonight, according to a Metro Police news release.
The 56-year-old woman was walking with a dog in the street on Shelbourne Avenue, west of Rancho Destino Road, when she was hit by a Ford F-150, the release stated. Glare from the setting sun was cited by police as a likely contributing factor.
The driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, the release stated.
