One dead after car hits bus; North Las Vegas street closed

One person died after an RTC bus collided with another vehicle today in North Las Vegas, according to a news release.

North Las Vegas Police officers responded to the collision at about 2:24 p.m. in the area of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Broad Arrow Drive.

According to reports, a Honda Accord had crashed into the back of the bus as the bus was slowing down to arrive at a bus stop.

The driver of the Honda, a man believed in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel, the release stated.

Police request that the public avoid the area. Southbound Martin Luther King remains closed from Gowan Road to Cheyenne Avenue.
