Magic and its Las Vegas magicians are everywhere you look on television this week in what’s become known as the “Wizard Wars,” which also is one of the shows premiering tonight on Syfy and is hosted by Rio headliner magicians Penn & Teller.

It was a case of life imitating art imitating life at Monday’s performance of “Marriage Can Be Murder” at the downtown D Las Vegas. One of the actors planted in the audience performed his “death” but actually passed out and fell to the ground.

The Jerry Lewis film series tied to his photo exhibit “Painted Pictures” opens tonight at UNLV and runs through the summer. Lewis is a busy man, at age 88, as he reinforced during a phone chat Monday by saying, “I’m a busy man.”
