A resilient effort from Valley enabled the team to come from behind in dramatic fashion to cinch a win at Del Sol Saturday night. The Vikings scored 27 points in the final 16 minutes to slay the Dragons 34-23 after trailing the entire game.

NFL draft: UNLV's Lotulelei not selected, meaning the Rebels haven't had a player picked in three straight drafts
Valley High School graduate Kerwynn Williams waited longer than expected Saturday to be selected in the NFL Draft. Williams, a 5-foot-8, 190-pound running back and kick returner, was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the seventh round with the No. 230 overall selection.

Liberty junior running back Niko Kapeli ran for more than 200 yards in five of his team’s nine games this regular season. He’s also one-for-one in eclipsing the 200-yard milestone in the postseason after Friday night. Kapeli rushed for 257 yards on 20 carries as Southeast Division champion Liberty pounded Northeast No. 4 seed Valley 42-6.
