Deacon Tom Roberts pardons of a live turkey called Mr. Butters at Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada on Nov. 10, 2016. A husband and wife who work as Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officers found the pardoned turkey – Mr. Butters – in their Henderson backyard six months ago. The officers nursed Mr. Butters back to health before finding him a home at Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary.
