- Lost in the debates about Boulder City problems during the primary elections was the Boulder City Hospital. This was to be expected, because it is not a city government problem. The hospital is an independent, nonprofit organization run by a foundation and a board of local people.

- Now that the primary election is over, the battle lines are clearly drawn for the general election June 2. The two candidates remaining for the open council seat, Cam Walker and Bill Smith, quite apparently have differing views on some important Boulder City problems.

- Boulder City Post 31 of the American Legion has finally received its shipment of new rifles for use by the honor guard. More than any other post in the state, Post 31 is called upon for the firing squad at the Nevada State Veterans Cemetery.

- Boulder City recently received a nice public relations boost from a full-page article in the Sunday edition of our sister newspaper, the Las Vegas Sun. The article mainly dealt with our solar energy plants, but it couldn't have done better for Boulder City if it were an advertisement.

Whether 'tis nobler in the Boulder City mind to continue the Boulder Creek Golf Club with those hopes that spring eternal and suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous claims, or by opposing to close the course, end them?

- Post 31 of the American Legion is all geared up for its annual St. Patrick's Day party and Legion birthday bash on, of course, March 17. Most of the details were finalized during the post's regular monthly meeting the first Tuesday of the month.
