I recall just a few short weeks ago Shari"The Buck stops Here" Buck said in her lying mail pieces to her city residents that the city was stabilized and moving forward while asking voters to give her four more years to complete the job. It seems like she has accomplished killing her city much sooner. She voted for every pay raise as councilwoman over the years for the unions support and money, and just before election time decided to throw them under the bus to save her job. She said she was making the tough decisions and asked people for more time. This is exactly why business won't go to NLV, and the unions don't trust her and the non union employees are wondering when their pink slips will come in the mail. She has been a disgrace to that city both as a council person and worse as a mayor. I wonder if her council boy Wade Wagner's law suit against the city for $72,000.00 to cover his personal legal fees from his own election is figured in to this yet. Yes a sitting council person suing his own going broke city. We hear that the public safety unions law suits against the city for voiding their contracts a few months ago will be over $26 million when they win that. Grand total over $40 Mil. Yes they are stabilized and doing just fine in Nor' Town thanks to the their "FORMER TEFLON MAYOR". Good luck Mr.Lee because you will need it and much more because there really is no time left.

Up there in North Las Vegas 'FORMER' mayor Buck should know best. She gave fire whatever they wanted over the years including a new Headquarters on Losee while our Police still occupy a building on Lake Mead that should be condemned. I guess her boy Hurley is now finding it difficult to lobby council people in return for political contributions and support as is Rusty in Las Vegas. Be_Aware your correct on Telestaff too.

Apparently LVFacts101 doesn't realize or cares to just rant, but the past 16 years NLV has had Republican mayors who have been responsible for spending beyond our means and being the ones who approved contracts that are now contributing to our demise. Why? political contributions! They let anything be built here that no other municipality would allow just to tout the fact we were the biggest and best. They rode the wave of growth and that turned into a tsunami of destruction for our city. Not to mention Bucks Republican boy Wade Wagner who is still suing the city for his past election legal fees of over $72,000.00. Also former Republican Mayor Montandon who went to bat for Buck and Wagner and also sued the city and won $40,000 for his efforts. Yes those Democrats are terrible people. If you criticize people do it for what they do or not do, not because of their political affiliations.

Now that the puppeteer is finally gone I wonder who is going to tell the two puppets Goynes and Wagner how to vote. Goynes being made mayor pro-tem after only two meetings with no experience and who has been trying to stay awake at meetings since then. Wagner who is or maybe was Bucks close family friend and dentist, who just also happens to be the Brother-in-law of Jarod Hardy who was inducted by Buck to run in Ward one. But what about Wagner a sitting council person, at least in name, suing his cash strapped city for his past personal legal expenses to get elected in excess of $72,000.00. which is now at the state appeal level since it was denied by the courts down here. I hope Lee knows what he got himself into.

I've read all the comments posted so far both for and against the candidates and would add this. This election is not about supporting a candidate based on who endorses them or which party they belong to. This election is about us, our future as a city without a county takeover looming as it is with an upcoming 15 to 20 million dollar deficit in July. The very real possibility of 2 Library closings due to insufficient funding for the coming year, parks in disrepair and graffiti becoming more evident because Buck chose to layoff infrastructure employees rather than do her job for the past years Mayor and "ACTIVELY" pursue business tax revenue which she knew was required to comply with the C tax formula that she now blames for all our problems. As councilperson and mayor she just rode the wave of unfettered growth allowing more than our share of low income apartment housing that generates no real tax revenues but costs us more in infrastructure staff salaries. She failed to do her job as council person when approving these projects, and failed as our Mayor to be the catalyst and champion of attracting high paying jobs here understanding that is the "ONLY" job of a Mayor. Cutting departments like redevelopment and city services will continue the downward spiral as we see. No matter how she flip flops now before election time, no high end businesses will come here as long as she is Mayor because they don't trust her voting record and her! How often do we have to go outside our city to a mall, to a car dealership, higher end restaurants that won't build here and other desired services. We need new businesses to want to come here and John is that person as a business owner himself. It's about high end jobs for our residents. Being a so called bedroom community is not good! People work, eat,and spend elsewhere, thus we have the highest tax base in the valley to compensate. Our city will not survive 4 more years with Buck. Vote for yourself this time to make a much needed change so we can start working regionally with our surrounding cities. Please vote for John Lee.
