Through pictures that 15 students have taken this semester in The Las Vegas Document, an experimental College of Southern Nevada class, we see the city from a rich variety of perspectives. Through the photographers' eyes, we quickly discover new places, new people, new ways of viewing the world around us that we thought we knew so well.
More than 100 UnitedHealthcare employees and business customers joined forces May 7 with the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth to assemble 2,000 survival kits for homeless youths living on the streets in Las Vegas.  The bags, expected to be enough for a year, were made possible by a $40,000 donation from UnitedHealthcare.

The bags, expected to be enough for a year, were made possible by a $40,000 donation from UnitedHealthcare.
Eight Belles collapsed in front of millions of Kentucky Derby viewers.  But, horses are put down every day at tracks all over the country. Is horse racing headed for a fall, as some animal activists contend?  Jon talks with the co-owner of a horse who ran in the Derby and some critics.
