The biggest names in country music are doubling down in Las Vegas. Garth Brooks has yet to take the stage at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace for his new “Plus One” residency production — that debut is set for May 18 — and already he has extended the run through 2024 due to overwhelming demand for tickets for his previously announced 27 shows. Additional dates are expected to be announced in the spring. Carrie Underwood has announced 18 new 2023 show dates for her “Reflection” residency show at Resorts World Theatre, concerts running from June through December with tickets on sale Friday. And Miranda Lambert, currently anchored in at Zappos Theater with her “Velvet Rodeo” concert residency Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, added 16 new dates in July, November and December 2023. Those tickets go on sale today.

Las Vegas will get yet another music festival in 2023. Good Vibez Presents and Reggae Rise Up are joining forces to bring the Holo Holo Music Festival to the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center on May 6-7. The reggae and island music-focused event will feature artists such as Kolohe Hai, Collie Buddz, Katchafire, J Boog, Steel Pulse, Sammy Johnson, Ekolu and many more. The inaugural fest took place this year in Northern California. An all-ages event, Holo Holo will put tickets on sale Thursday at holoholofestival.com.

Two new off-Broadway productions brought to the Strip by producer Tom D’Angora celebrated grand openings at the V Theater at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood over the weekend. “Newsical The Musical,” which sold out a limited run at downtown’s Majestic Repertory Theatre in the spring with its ever-changing musical comedy spoof style, and “A Musical About Star Wars,” an entertaining look at fandom, nerd culture and cosplay, are now playing at the V. “Newsical” runs Tuesday through Sunday at 6 p.m. and “Star Wars” is onstage Thursday through Sunday at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are available at vtheater.com.

Spiegelworld has unveiled details for its new entertainment venue at Caesars Atlantic City. The Hook is set to open on June 30 in the space once occupied by the legendary and long-shuttered Warner Theatre. It will feature the world premiere of a new live show also dubbed “The Hook” in a 400-seat theater, a second location of Spiegelworld’s Italian American restaurant Superfrico (born in Las Vegas at the Cosmopolitan), and a variety of bars. Like “Atomic Saloon Show” at the Grand Canal Shoppes on the Strip, “The Hook” will be directed by Cal McCrystal. The whole thing is part of Caesars Entertainment’s $400 million investment and renovation of the AC property. Now that this info is out, an official announcement is expected soon regarding Spiegelworld’s new disco-themed Las Vegas show planned to open in 2023 at the Linq.

Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas has once again been named one of the highest-grossing venues under 5,000 capacity on Billboard’s annual Top Grossing Venues list for 2022. The 1,480-seat venue ranked at No. 8, and is also the No. 1 top grossing venue under 2,000 capacity, a spot it’s held since 2019.
