We've reset the Play of the Day with fresh bankrolls and turned it into a yearly competition. Our three sports writers have re-started with $10,000 bankrolls to continue using on odds from the South Point.

Indianapolis Colts at Pittsburgh Steelers, Total Over 48.5 — $440 to win $400: The numbers don’t support this play because Pittsburgh games have gone over the total just three times in 11 games. But, of course, most of those contests have come with a backup quarterback under center for the Steelers.

Ben Roethlisberger, who has started just four games, starts today and will be a difference maker. Big Ben spreads the ball out well to his receivers and is always looking to pick-up yardage with long passes downfield.

The Colts will do their share, too. Matt Hasselbeck has been awesome in his backup role, finding T.Y. Hilton twice for touchdowns last week. He enters today with a 4-0 record, and the Colts offense hasn’t missed a beat without Andrew Luck. More important, the Steelers defense has been average at best all season, always prone to surrendering long touchdowns.

Current Standings (as of July 1): Brewer (24-20, $10,125), Bern (16-24, $6,495), Keefer (20-30-2, $6,281)

Lifetime standings: 2014-15 Champion Bern (96-98-1), Keefer (103-113-4), Brewer (92-108-2)
