UPDATE: Two dead in North Las Vegas shooting identified

Two men died after a Friday night shooting in North Las Vegas.

At about 11:57 p.m. Friday, North Las Vegas Police Department dispatchers received a report of shots fired in the 3900 block of Yellow Mandarin Court. When officers arrived at the scene, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds, authorities said.

One of the men, a 44-year-old North Las Vegas resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim, a 34-year-old Las Vegas man, was taken to University Medical Center, where he died from his injuries, police said.

The men's identities are being withheld until family members are notified. No information about a motive or a possible suspect was released.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
