Two dead in North Las Vegas shooting identified

Two men who died after a Friday night shooting in North Las Vegas have been identified by the Clark County coroner.

The 44-year-old man who was pronounced dead at the scene is Darryle Earl Pickens of North Las Vegas, a coroner's office spokeswoman said today. He died of multiple gunshot wounds.

The second victim, 33-year-old Levin Wright of North Las Vegas, also died of multiple gunshot wounds after being taken to University Medical Center. The deaths are considered homicides, the coroner's office said.

At about 11:57 p.m. Friday, North Las Vegas Police Department dispatchers received a report of shots fired in the 3900 block of Yellow Mandarin Court. When officers arrived at the scene, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.
