Coroner identifies woman, 85, killed in Summerlin crash

Fatal crash

The Clark County Coroner’s Office has identified a woman who died Friday after her car crashed into a wall in Summerlin as 85-year-old Miriam Singer of Las Vegas.

The coroner’s office said Singer died of multiple traumatic injuries as a result of the crash. Her death was ruled accidental.

Police said Singer was driving south on High Range Drive when she lost control of her 2000 Infiniti G20, went through a T intersection at Button Willow Drive and hit a brick wall.

The accident, which occurred shortly after 10 a.m., was near Lake Mead Boulevard and Sun City Boulevard.

She was taken to Summerlin Hospital, where she died, police said. Her husband, identified as Sherman Singer, 88, was taken to University Medical Center in serious condition.

Singer might have had a medical issue and choked on food while driving, Metro spokeswoman Barbara Morgan said.
