A man who North Las Vegas police have called the "scarf-face robber" was identified today, and authorities say he now faces two additional felony counts of robbery.

Authorities arrested Lonnie Troy on Jan. 17, saying he's responsible for several robberies in the northeast Las Vegas Valley over the past month. He was called the "scarf-face robber" because he wore a scarf over his face to conceal his identity during each robbery.

Officers arrested Troy and charged him with three robberies that had occurred in the past few weeks in North Las Vegas. Authorities announced today that he now faces two additional felony counts of robbery, bringing the total to five.

He is also suspected in at least 14 other cases in Metro Police jurisdiction, authorities said.

The first robbery Troy is accused of took place Dec. 19, 2009. Many of the robberies took place between 2:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m., and others occurred between 12:50 p.m. and 6 p.m., police said.

In a Jan. 7 robbery, a clerk shot at the suspect and the man left without money. Police said they don’t believe the man was struck by bullets.

Troy is being held at the North Las Vegas Detention Center, where he has remained since his arrest. His bail has been set at $295,000 for the five charges.
