Coroner IDs woman shot Sunday during fight at apartment complex

A woman killed Sunday night in an exchange of gunfire between two groups of people at an apartment complex was identified today by the Clark County Coroner’s Office as Raquel Stapinski, 41, of Las Vegas.

Stapinski died from a gunshot wound to the right arm, according to the Coroner’s Office.

The shooting was reported about 9 p.m. Sunday in the 6500 block of West Charleston Boulevard, near Torrey Pines Drive, Metro Police said.

A fight broke out between the groups when at least two people fired shots, police said. The woman might have been associated with one of the groups, police said.

The shooters have not been identified, police said, and no arrests have been announced.
