    Recreationally, participation numbers have steadily increased. Membership in USTA-Nevada has grown by 30 percent over the past five years, said Ryan Wolfington, the group’s executive director. Adding the yardage to compete with bigger competitors was a necessary development, and paired with her abilities away from the tee box it helped create the player who recently won Mountain West Golfer of the Year for the third straight year.
