Rather than a ribbon-cutting ceremony, officials involved in the development of Fire Station 6 participated in an uncoupling of the hoses to mark the station's grand opening. The new station includes three classrooms for students at College of Southern Nevada Charleston Campus. Las Vegas councilwoman Lois Tarkanian, center, led the collaboration to build the dual station and instruction center.
