Las Vegas Fire & Rescue
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue extinguished a fire on the exterior of a vacant house at 556 E. Oakey Blvd. During a search of the interior of the home, firefighters discovered a homeless man and woman sleeping inside, fire spokesman Tim Szymanski said. The two were taken to University Medical Center for treatment for smoke inhalation. The fire occurred about 8:35 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014.
