President Donald Trump’s long-overdue move to invoke the Defense Production Act is welcomed news. However, now he must appoint a true production and supply chain czar to oversee the production and distribution of essential items.
The current state of affairs, with states fighting over the acquisition of supplies and equipment needed to save lives, is causing high levels of stress among doctors and nurses on the front lines and is unacceptable.
