In response to the Nov. 20 letter “Say yes to ethical farming”: Absolutely not!
To wait 19 years for a phaseout of large concentrated animal feeding operations negates any of the humane farming features included in the Farm System Reform Act. The $10 billion-a-year financial aid to transitioning farmers seems to be the real reason for the bill’s introduction.
Again, the tortured, neglected cattle are cruelly being used. I will not call legislators for passage.
