We should support candidates who work together and support those in need, regardless of what political party they come from.
I am excited that some members of Congress are looking out for people struggling to make ends meet by passing the Inflation Reduction Act. I hope it’s the start of more legislation that supports those in need.
Congress did it in 2021 when it passed the expansion of the child tax credit, which helped 4 million kids get out of poverty. However, that expansion has expired.
I hope members of Congress will make the tax credit their next priority. That is the measure of a strong candidate and those worthy of our support.
