Blind eye turned to kids’ deaths

What number of people killed annually by gun violence would finally cause Republican senators to stop doing the gun lobby’s bidding and pass legislation to reverse the deadly trend? Would a million dead children, parents and others in 2023 satisfy their blood lust? They weren’t fazed when COVID-19 ravaged the country.

How many children would still be alive today if Democrats actually intended to take the guns away from the people who could show no valid need to possess one and then followed through on that intention?

Flags at the White House flying at half-staff in memory of 19 children and two teachers should remain that way until effective gun legislation is passed and more is done about the vile hatred and xenophobia polluting social media. Students should boycott school until attending is made safer by controlling guns, not by making schools fortresses.

If photos of mutilated bodies can’t be shown in media, how about artist’s renderings such as those used for courtroom depictions? Would gun cult members be moved?

Thoughts and prayers? Moments of silence? Don’t bother. Parents will not be comforted. Vote out the corrupt politicians who have been bought and paid for by the gun lobby. Complicit media organizations should be abandoned as well, post haste.
