What has happened to the John McCain-Sarah Palin campaign? They have gone from desperate to obscure to just plain ridiculous. As Chris Matthews put it so well, John McCain is acting like Humphrey Bogart in the movie “The Caine Mutiny.”
Now Joe the Plumber is campaigning with Palin. She has gone from Joe Sixpack to Joe the Plumber. Just how does he represent the average American? He does not have a plumber’s license. He is not buying a $250,000 business. And he owes back taxes, all of which leads one to believe he might just be a tad untruthful.
Now he has hired a publicist and is looking into a record contract. What next? Joe the Singing Plumber? Oh, he might also run for Congress. And his credentials are?
Instead of associating with all her “Joes,” Palin should concentrate on releasing her medical records, something she promised to do early last week (it is now later in the week) and we are still waiting.
The voters are smart people and will take into consideration the obscurity of the McCain-Palin campaign.
