View more of the Sun's opinion section
Instead of disproving letter writer Don Shirley’s contention that Fox News Channel is unfair and unbalanced, Saturday letters to the editor from Malcolm Telloian and Marguerite Snow actually reinforce Shirley’s hypothesis.
Mr. Telloian claims, “His popularity (President Barack Obama’s) is waning even among Democrats I know as he makes one mistake after another.” A Gallup poll reveals Obama’s popularity has been relatively constant at about 62 percent during March and the beginning of April. How could Telloian be so wrong? He watches Fox News.
Ms. Snow opines that Fox News labels Sean Hannity, et al., as “opinion journalists,” as if this designation releases Fox from presenting “opinion journalists” reflecting a true cross-section of opinion. If Fox News viewers believe everything Hannity says, I have a bridge for sale at bargain rates.
In short, Mr. Telloian and Ms. Snow protest too much.
