LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

No news network is fair and balanced

I find all these letters about Fox News amusing. I have watched Fox, CNBC, NBC, CNN, CBS, PBS and ABC.

Aside from the particular political point of view of each network, the only thing that sets Fox apart is that it claims to be “fair and balanced.” None of the current networks are fair and balanced, including, but not limited to, Fox.

The Fox network leans right. All the rest lean left. That is apparent to anyone who fairly judges each network. Even the “anchors,” who are supposed to just report the facts, are often biased in their presentation of the “news.”

There is nowhere to go to get unbiased news in 2009 and there hasn’t been for a long time. I think I am like many Americans. I can watch Fox, for example, and agree with part of what I hear but disagree with other things I hear. I can watch CNN and feel much the same way.

If you watched CNN during the George W. Bush presidency, it found something to criticize in just about every move Bush made. Now you see and hear the same thing regarding President Barack Obama on Fox.

Neither network really speaks to me. Fox is too far right and CNN is too far left. I think that is a “balanced” analysis.
