Letter to the Editor:

Fox News’ bias can’t be any more noticeable

It’s amazing that some letter writers have not seen the examples of Fox News bias. Just go to YouTube and type in “Fox Bias” and up will come 820 examples. Now watch some of them, unless you’re afraid of what you might hear. These video examples are just the blatant proof of Fox bias; the real proof is more subtle.

Last Monday I watched the network and heard the following Fox teaser: “Obama’s criticism of America? What do people think of Obama’s recent criticism of America; we wired people to find out.”

Fox could have presented this teaser in many ways; instead it chose to use the term “criticism,” and it failed to use the term “president.” When dealing with former President George W. Bush, it would never use just “Bush.”

Fox News’ mass coverage of the “tea parties” is another subtle example of its bias — “tea parties” bankrolled and supported by the conservatives with blanket coverage by Fox News.

Finally, why does Fox serve as the flagship network for conservatives? The answer is very simple: Conservatives hear what they want to hear from Fox, not what they should hear.

As a former Republican who sees Fox News’ bias whenever I watch, I say thank goodness most Americans get their news from real news sources, such as ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, CNBC and MSNBC.
