MRSA infections in local hospitals lead to unnecessary losses: financially and in terms of health and actual lives.
The solution: Do as Veterans Affairs does — test every incoming patient and isolate those testing positive.
America is known as a country of great ingenuity, but what about common sense? Don’t waste more time, money and lives on mandating hospitals to report cases of this infection.
