LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

Hard to duplicate Olbermann’s skills as a commentator

MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann was like a breath of fresh air. His analyses and commentaries were in complex sentences consisting of a vocabulary of more than four-letter words.

His opinions were based on verifiable facts and embellished with wit, irony and satire. He, unlike many commentators, could and would deftly call out those who pollute our airwaves with oft-repeated trite and hackneyed clichés, laced with racism, hatred, half-truths and downright lies.

A good journalist should always ferret out and defend the truth. This was Olbermann’s forte. He will be sadly missed by those of us who value those skills.
