I am really tired of people comparing car insurance to health care insurance by essentially saying: Well, you have to buy car insurance.
No, I do not have to buy car insurance if my car is paid for. I have to buy liability insurance against injuring other people or damaging other people’s property. This is completely different from buying health insurance for myself. By buying liability insurance, it is not for me but for other people.
