Sen. Harry Reid’s latest idea to help Nevada gain new business is to take our severely limited resources to make prostitution illegal.
At best, given Nevada’s hostile environment to new businesses, it would be years before we saw any benefit.
We need to get back to our roots of gambling, mining and prostitution — and have them pay their fair share of taxes, which would add to our general fund immediately.
With that increased revenue, we could improve our schools, which would attract more new businesses than would making prostitution illegal.
