I take exception to Friday’s letter to the editor by Alvin Langer, a retired obstetrician and gynecologist, who criticized the vote by Congressman Joe Heck to discontinue funding of Planned Parenthood. I agree with the vote by Heck, who also is a doctor.
As long as Planned Parenthood continues to take Title X funding, it should not continue the practice of performing abortions.
Whether it is 10 percent of the time or 50 percent of the time, Planned Parenthood should not spend my tax dollars doing abortions. If Planned Parenthood stops performing abortions, it will get my support as well as others.
Thanks to Congressman Heck for keeping up the great work he does for the taxpayers of Nevada.
