“The first human who hurled an insult instead of a stone was the founder of civilization.” — Sigmund Freud
This astute observation about human nature is being reversed before our very eyes, and we stand silent.
The full frontal assault on the First Amendment and free speech by progressives will rapidly return us to barbarism.
In the same vein as Freud, I say, “If man cannot hurl an insult, he will surely hurl a stone.”
These progressives behave like a person drowning and flailing about, grasping at anything to keep them afloat.
Their plight is made worse because they should have never ventured into the deep end of the intellectual pool.
They should be content to splash about in the shallow end and try to injure themselves or others.
