The methods of animal trapping in Nevada are appallingly cruel. Not only should the snares and leg holds be outlawed, but all trapping should be banned.
If the trappers complain about taking away their livelihood of selling their disgusting wares to foreign countries, their licenses should be grandfathered in with no new permits issued.
This in turn will eventually eliminate an awful and inhumane practice. Besides, there will be enough macho-type gun-toting hunters, who will shoot any animal in their sight to supposedly keep the numbers of bobcats, mountain lions, bears and all other wildlife to a minimum.
Quoting Mahatma Gandhi: "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated!"
