Change directions on climate change

“If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading.” — Lao-Tzu

Whether you’re a Pacific Islander preparing for a super typhoon bearing down on you, a Floridian contemplating a rising sea level exacerbating a contentious battle between your fresh water supply and the sea, or a Westerner suffering through a long Lake Mead draining drought, you realize where we’re headed doesn’t look good.

We as a nation and a world spend billions to find out the nature of our world and trends we’ll face in the future. Can we be honest in our search for facts, or will we simply lie to ourselves and ignore the facts? We’re at a watershed moment in existence as a dominant species of this planet. We could very well decimate our species and our existing ecosystem with anthropogenic climate change. Spend some time at climate.nasa.gov, see the facts for yourself, and heed the wise words of Lao-Tzu, and change direction!
