The biggest public service Donald Trump is providing with his candidacy is this: In contrast to our own prickly billionaire, Sheldon Adelson, speaking through his anointed $100 million mouthpiece, Newt Gingrich, “The Donald” is cutting out the middleman. His ego, arrogance and contempt for the 99 percent peels back the shroud of the ultra-rich.
Their wealth is their validation and their means to accumulate even more. Think Mr. Burns from “The Simpsons.” They talk only to each other. He speaks for his class. So when Bernie Sanders talks about the billionaire class, The Donald is its public face and big mouth. Now that would be real choice in 2016.
