I am the one. I am the 1 in 5 women who has counted on Planned Parenthood for health care. Like so many women in this country, I went to the provider I knew would give me the care I needed.
Now this country’s most trusted provider of reproductive health care is once again being targeted by anti-choice extremists. This time they pretended to be a health care research company to trick and film Planned Parenthood staff. The videos they created are highly edited and manipulated to make outrageous claims about Planned Parenthood. These are the same extremists who have attacked Planned Parenthood 10 times in the past 10 years. Their agenda is clear: ban abortion and shut down Planned Parenthood.
And now some elected officials want to defund Planned Parenthood. This would only hurt Nevadans. Three-quarters of Planned Parenthood’s patients are low-income and count on Planned Parenthood to access health care. The care Planned Parenthood provides is vital, including women’s wellness visits, birth control, cancer screenings and preventive care.
