Boxers shouldn’t accept big payouts

Regarding the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight on May 2:

I am angry that two world-famous boxers are receiving such an obscene amount of money for barely breaking a sweat. The bout was a borefest. I would be embarrassed to accept any compensation for such a lackluster event.

In the future, make sure the boxing contract requires a genuine desire to win the fight. Neither fighter looked interested in getting hurt or exerting themselves. Nobody should be expected to pay for such a pathetic performance. Overpayed, and overhyped, both fighters should pay back all the money to the fans who witnessed such a disappointing event.
