After Warren Buffett bought our electric company, why is anyone surprised at the Public Utility Commission’s ruling about rooftop solar? I’m sure Mr. Buffett bought the company to make money, and this is one way he can benefit.
As one of the approximately 17,000 families who had rooftop solar installed, expecting to reduce their electric bills, I won’t let the PUC’s decision affect me. Tesla, along with at least one other company, is developing a battery for home use and once it becomes available, I will purchase it and thumb my nose at the PUC and Mr. Buffett. I’m sure most of the other 17,000 will follow suit, as the PUC’s decision leaves us little choice.
