letters to the editor:

Choose Clinton, not a revolution

Let’s not have a political revolution. We had one. Chicago, the ’60s, the Vietnam War, hippies, Gene McCarthy. The revolution did not work then, and it’s pie in the sky now.

We don’t need an angry man trying to make reforms that will take many years to happen. We must have a pragmatist who can accomplish realistic goals. We need a sense of calm and determination, not an economic policy that punishes the rich. Our country is now center-left. The silent majority of the early 2000s is now the silent minority, trying to be viable. If we want an angry fanatic, let’s elect Ted Cruz.

How many Democrats voted for the Iraq War? More than we’d like to remember. Let’s put it to bed. It’s over and done, and everyone is sorry.

We must elect a Democrat to continue the progress we’ve made, not an independent who practices democratic socialism. We must elect the first female president, a true champion, to be our next president.
