Letters To the Editor:

If you’re against bullying, how can you support Trump?

I just don’t get it. Many parents are up in arms about the “bullying” at schools and on the Internet. Yet some of these same people will line up to attend a Trump rally to listen to him use words such as loser, stupid, ugly, cowards, rapists, etc., and actually cheer him on.

Is this what America wants? I think we are better than that; at least, I hope so. Even former candidates who were embarrassed, demeaned and insulted by Trump have turned around and endorsed him, saying, “Well, that’s politics!”

Well, it shouldn’t be. I do respect the Bush family for not endorsing or supporting Trump because of his cruel words during the earlier debates. They are true to their values. Many of us would rather hear about taxes, jobs, foreign policy and the environment, instead of all the garbage being strewn during this overly long political season. Hopefully, after the conventions, things will take a turn and the two candidates will get down to the nitty-gritty and discuss and debate what’s best for America and its people.
