A greater Las Vegas is coming! A National Hockey League team franchise has been approved for Las Vegas. Accordingly, praise to businessman Bill Foley, MGM and AEG, whose commitment, actions and money made this possible.
Sport teams bond a community with a loyalty and common goal of winning a championship. This is good, inspiring and another step forward in making Las Vegas even more so the top city in the world for all venues.
The hockey team will begin play in the 2017-18 season. We’re now in that elite fraternity of cities with a major sports team. “Happy days are here again!” Further, of great importance: This was accomplished by private financing. Foley and others have done their part. Now it’s up to us Las Vegans and Nevadans to do our part by supporting our team.
This is a historic moment for Las Vegas as we build a No. 1 hockey team we all can be proud of in the coming years. All roads lead to Las Vegas, “The Crystal City” of the Las Vegas Warriors, the right name for our glorious, inspiring forthcoming hockey team.
