I have listened to most of the speeches President Donald Trump has made this past year. He has promised us a better America by creating jobs and protecting our borders. He has promised to rebuild our military and to improve care for our veterans. He has promised to rebuild our infrastructure and lower taxes on small and large business as well as for the working men and women of America. He has promised much to many of us, but not senior citizens. We have not had a substantial raise in our Social Security benefits in years and we are falling behind because of inflation. We are being ignored by President Trump, and it will cost him his GOP majorities in Congress in 2018. Sixty-one percent of American seniors vote, and you can bet that number will rise sooner than later if President Trump does not do more for us. It would better for him to lie and break a promise than to just ignore us.
