It is so disheartening to see what is happening to our country. First we started taking young children away from their parents, and now after making a promise to some immigrants who would be granted citizenship if they served in our military, they are being discharged for no apparent reason and will possibly be sent back to the country of their origin.
The U.S. tried to block a World Health Assembly proposal to encourage breast-feeding. Tariffs have been placed on countries we have traded with for years. Granted, there may some imbalance, but wouldn’t some deliberations be better than hasty decisions? By the way, guess whose clothing line is exempt from the tariffs. (Think daughter).
We are alienating countries that have been friends of the U.S. for years. I learned early on that our government had a system of checks and balances so no person would have too much power. That doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. I am afraid that politicians are more loyal to a party than to the American people.
