The San Jose Sharks had a memorable run as the Vegas Golden Knights' biggest rival, but it might be time to drop them from that distinction. It might be time to initiate the Arizona Coyotes into the role.
With the Golden Knights and Coyotes tied atop the Pacific Division standings with 44 points apiece, it's looking they will be the two primary contenders for a top seed in the Stanley Cup playoffs. That's how Vegas Golden Podcast, presented by the Credit One Bank Vegas Born card, sees it anyway.
Since the last episode earlier this week, Arizona has officially acquired former Hart Trophy winner Taylor Hall while Vegas has picked up three of a possible four points in the standings. The two teams have split their first two meetings this season but play three more times including next Saturday at T-Mobile Arena.
