Democrat (and avowed democratic socialist) Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez has launched her controversial Green New Deal.
Among her proposals is that high-speed rail be developed enough so that air travel would stop being necessary.
As a show of good faith and commitment, Ocasio-Cortez and her supporters should immediately give up all air travel and vow to travel only by rail.
They can start by traveling to California (no cheating by flying there) and taking a test hop on the San Francisco-to-L.A. high-speed rail project. Whoops! I see that California Gov. Gavin Newsom recently put that project on hold due to its costs and timeline for completion.
I suppose that means we'll have to start building dirigibles instead. We can call them Cortezenbergs.
