The Supreme Court is simply off-kilter. Retired Justice Stephen Breyer is telling us that. The court’s recent decisions are telling us that. The smell of bribery is telling us that. The willingness of the court to support Donald Trump’s delay tactics are telling us that.
There is no way this court is going to support the national will on any topic in the near future. They are telling us that.
I don’t see any fix for it, except at the ballot box and at the federal retirement center. We will have to just bide our time and make wise choices when Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito retire.
It is a shame that our highest court places politics above the truth, but that is the way it is.
If given their way, you will soon see this court attack contraception, gay rights and continue its fight against equal rights for Black Americans.
