A motorcyclist was hospitalized in critical condition after a crash today in the east valley, according to Metro Police.
The crash was reported shortly after 1 p.m. near Hollywood Boulevard and North Access Road, near the Hollywood Regional Park, police said.
The rider was rushed to University Medical Center, police said. The roads in the area were expected to be closed for several hours, police said.
